"Cuboid" is a self-propelled drone capable of SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) and autonomous driving by incorporating a device supported by ROS (Robot Operating System) into a 37 cm rectangular parallelepiped.

Since it has sufficient carrying capacity, it can be used as a base for original robots by adding a loading platform or arm to this product.

Since the robot is a combination of aluminum frames that can be obtained at home centers, etc., it is easy to process and replace.

Since the devices that make up "Cuboid" are a combination of COTS (commercial off-the-shelf), replacements and upgrades can be easily obtained even if they break down.

Delivering luggage in cooperation with elevators
(NEDO demonstration)
As a project operator of the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) , a national research and development corporation, we conducted an indoor delivery demonstration experiment using an elevator cooperation system with an automated navigating robot.
TOKYU LAND CORPORATION , which manages Tokyo Portcity Takeshiba Office Tower , has introduced Mitsubishi Electric Building Solutions' smart city building IoT platform "Ville-feuille." Using the platform's function via SoftBank LTE line, robots can connect with almost all the elevators to freely move within the building. (Other robots can also use the platform which demonstrated success)
Tethered Autonomous Mobile Cells for Smart Cities

Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Nakayama Laboratory, conducted a feasibility study for tethered autonomous mobile cells for smart cities using our developed indoor autonomous drone (autonomous mobile robot) "Cuboid".
Integrated Self-Positioning and Optical Camera Communication Using Image Sensors

The Nakayama Laboratory at Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology has developed an integrated self-position estimation and Optical Camera Communication(OCC) system for autonomous mobile robots using image sensors, utilizing our indoor autonomous drone (autonomous mobile robot) "Cuboid".
