Continuing from last year, students from Koganei City Minami Elementary School visited the Chief Scientist Office on November 30, 2022.
One of the students is a student at " STELABO ," a robot programming school operated by SoftBank C&S , who wanted to learn about SoftBank's research on autonomous robots to participate in a robot programming competition with the theme of "Future Energy." As a result, this tour was made possible.
Elementary school students, their parents, and the PTA president attended the event.
The engineers introduced and conducted Q&A sessions on " charging dock mechanism ," " speech and operation by remote monitoring screen ," and " elevator cooperation robot ."
Unfortunately, the elementary student team did not make it through to the preliminary round in Tokyo, which was held on December 17, 2022. However, they used what they learned during their visit as a hint for their presentation and robot competition.
The Chief Scientist Office will continue to accept such tours in order to deepen understanding of robotics through such initiatives.
